AATYK

Apoptosis-Associated Tyrosine Kinase. A tyrosine kinase encoded by AATK, the expression of which is dramatically upregulated during IL3 deprivation or terminal differentiation induced by G-CSF. AATK expression is blocked in abl or bcr-abl transformed cells, which do not undergo apoptosis in the absence of IL3.
