Mason-Allen stitch Mason-Allen stitch A two-stitch technique in which a suture loop is sewn perpendicularly to a disrupted musculotendinous unit, followed by a second stitch that anchors the first and pulls the unit towards its site of insertion. A modified MAS does not cause tendon necrosis and yields a stringer repair than standard open techniques. |
