Established: 1935.
Location:Along Oregon's 320 miles of coastline.
Facilities:At Coquille Point: visitor contact station, interpretive displays, trails, viewing sites.
Special Features:Refuge provides essential breeding and haulout areas for harbor seals, sea lions, and elephant seals.
Habitats: More than 1,853 coastal islands, rocks, and reefs.
Access: Offshore sites are closed to public entry but can be viewed from scenic lookout points along the coast.
Wild life: Tufted puffins, Leach's and fork-tailed storm-petrels, rhioceros auklets, cormorants, harbor seals, California sea lions, Steller sea lions and Northern elephant seals.
