Murava Road

(Muravskii shliakh), one of the main roads used by the Crimean Tatars in the 16th and first half of the 17th centuries in their raids on Russia. The Murava Road extended from Perekop to Tula along the watershed formed by the Severskii Donets River on the right and the northern Vorskla and the Seim rivers on the left. During the 16th and 17th centuries the Murava Road was also used by envoy and merchant caravans journeying from Moscow to the Crimea and back.
