Novolukoml

a city (since 1970) in Chashniki Raion, Vitebsk Oblast, Byelorussian SSR, 15 km from the Chashniki railroad station on the Orsha-Lepel’ line. Population, 10,600 (1974). The Lukoml’ Regional Power Plant is in the city, as are a bread-baking plant and a milk plant. A prefabricated-housing plant is under construction (1974).
