Novomichurinsk

an urban-type settlement in Pronsk Raion, Riazan’ Oblast, RSFSR, situated on the Pronia River (a tributary of the Oka). The settlement has a large-panel housebuilding plant and is the site of the Riazan’ State Regional Power Plant. It was named in honor of I. V. Michurin, who was born near the settlement.
