Mironovka

a city (until 1968, an urban-type settlement); center of Mironovka Raion, Kiev Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, on the Rosava River (Dnieper basin). Railroad junction. Population, 12,200 (1972). Mironovka has a sugar refinery and an automobile-repair plant, a plant producing nonfat dry milk, a corngrading plant, an asphalt and bitumen plant, and a brickworks. It is the location of the Mironovka Research Institute of Wheat Breeding and Seed Production.
