MASS phenotype An acronym for a heterogeneous symptom complex: • Mitral valve prolapse with thoracic cage deformity and spontaneous pneumothorax, with defects in the • Aortic dissection (which does not cause significant morbidity), • Skin (extracellular matrix, striae atrophicae) and • Skeleton (joint hypermobility, long limbs).
