Novoselitsa

a city (since 1940) and administrative center of Novoselitsa Raion, Chernovtsy Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Situated on the Prut River. Railroad station on the Chernovtsy-Larga line. Novoselitsa has a plant that produces reinforced-concrete components, a liqueur and spirits distillery, a cheese plant, a fruit cannery, food-processing and poultry combines, and a furniture factory. It also has a medical school.
