Novoviatsk

a city in Kirovo-Chepetsk Raion, Kirov Oblast, RSFSR. A landing on the left bank of the Viatka River. Railroad station, Pozdino, 10 km south of Kirov. Population, 29,000 (1974). Novoviatsk has a housebuilding combine and a combine for the manufacture of ski equipment. The city was formed in 1955 from the Lesozavodskii and Viatskii settlements.
