Facilities:268 campsites (camping pads) with electrical hookups, 58 camping padswithout electricity, 2,647 primitive campsites, modern restrooms aswell as vault toilets, coin-operated showers, picnic areas, 4 picnicshelters, concessions (including lodging), 15 boat ramps, 11docks, 3 fish cleaning stations, boat rentals, swimming beach, visitor center.
Activities:Camping, boating (all types), fishing, swimming.
Special Features:Lake McConaughy (known locally as "Big Mac") is the state's largestreservoir and offers excellent opportunities for water sports,especially fishing. The Visitor/Water Interpretive Center at the lakefeatures aquariums, a theater, and displays that interpret the benefitsof the Platte River and the High Plains Aquifer.
