Nowa Sól
Nowa Sól
a city in Poland in Zielona Góra Województwo, on the Oder (Odra) River. Population, 35,000 (1972). A railroad junction and a river port, the city produces foundry equipment, cast iron, boilers, and steel structural components. It also has a shipyard, a large thread factory, and food-processing enterprises. Nowa Sol was founded in the 16th century.
