Lynch, Kevin (Andrew)

(1918–84) planner; born in Chicago. Lynch studied at Yale and Taliesin with Frank Lloyd Wright before graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1947) where he was a professor of city planning (1949–84). He wrote numerous books on city planning including The Image of the City (1960) and Site Planning. In his Boston firm, Carr Lynch Associates (1977–84), he designed Boston's Government Center and Waterfront, as well as housing projects.
