Nigel

a city in the eastern part of the Republic of South Africa, located in Transvaal Province. Population, 33,800 (1970). One of the centers of the Witwatersrand gold mining region, Nigel is linked by a spur line to South Africa’s main railroad. The city was founded in 1909.
