Lake Somerville State Park
Location:Park comprises two main units: Birch Creek Unit is in Burleson County on the north shore of the reservoir; Nails Creek Unit is in Lee County on the south shore, near the west end of the reservoir.
Facilities:Campsites with water and electricity hookups, tent camping, horsemen's campsites, primitive campsites, showers, restrooms (é), day-use group facility, picnic areas, screened shelters, multi-use trails (é), boat ramps, dock, fishing pier, fish cleaning station, game courts, playgrounds, park store.
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, birding, hunting (with restrictions).
Special Features:The park features 11,630-acre Lake Somerville, which includes 85 miles of shoreline. The two main units of the park are connected by the 13-mile Somerville Trailway.
