Facilities:447 campsites (semi-modern and primitive), 8 lake huts, showers, picnic area, group shelters, trails, horse stables, 2 swimming beaches, 2 marinas, boat ramps, fishing dock, boat rentals, miniature golf, game room, restaurant (seasonal), nature center, camp store, gift shop, playgrounds (é).

Special Features:Located on the edge of the largest metropolitan area in the state, Lake Thunderbird is a 6,000-acre reservoir with 86 miles of shoreline, offering fishermen great opportunities for bass, crappie, catfish, and saugeye. Rose rock, the official state rock of Oklahoma, can be found on park grounds. The unusual reddish-colored formation resembles a rose in full bloom and, although visitors are not permitted to keep rocks they find, souvenir samples may be purchased at the gift shop.
