(nū-rō'lab-rin-thiī'-tis), Idiopathic inflammation of the vestibular nerve. It presents with vertigo, nausea, and imbalance. There is usually no involvement of the cochlear nerve, and thus neither tinnitus nor hearing loss; usually resolves in days to weeks.
