Size: 536 sq. km.
Established: 1970.
Location:50 km north of the Saint Lawrence River, approximately 200 km from Montréal, 190 km from Québec City, and 60 km from Trois Rivieres. A good portion of the park is situated in the heart of the Laurentian Mountains.
Facilities:2 lodges (Andrew and Wabenaki), visitor center, 580+ campsites, trails (80 km, @di), canoe and boat rental, boat ramps.
Activities:Hiking, camping (year-round), swimming, canoeing, fishing, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, wildlife viewing, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park typifies the region of the Lauretians, a range of low mountains bordering the Saint Lawrence River along its entire course from the Great Lakes to Labrador. It includes a section of the Laurentian Trail and more than 150 lakes, including the 16-km-long Wapizagonke Lake. The diverse wildlife includes 50 species of mammals, 180 species of birds, 29 species of fish, and 19 species of reptiles and amphibians.
