an urban-type settlement in Zhirnov Raion, Volgograd Oblast, RSFSR, situated on the left bank of the Medveditsa River (a tributary of the Don), 14 km northeast of the Medveditsa railroad station (on the Balashov-Kamyshin line). A canning plant is located in Linevo.
