(Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor), 1957–, Hong Kong political leader. She served in the treasury bureau before becoming director of social welfare (2000–3), permanent secretary for housing and planning (2003–4), director of Hong Kong's economic and trade office in London (2004–6). She was secretary for home affairs (2006–7) and secretary of development (2007–12) under Donald TsangTsang, Donald Yam-kuen,1944–, Hong Kong government official and political leader. He joined the Hong Kong colonial civil service in 1967, and served in a variety of posts concerned with the economy and trade; he also worked on Hong Kong's transfer from British to Chinese
