Lübeck Treaty of 1629

the treaty ending the “Danish period” of the Thirty Years’ War (1618-48). It was concluded in Lübeck on May 12 by representatives of the Danish king Christian IV and the imperial general A. Wallenstein. By the treaty Denmark, which had suffered several defeats fighting on the side of the anti-Hapsburg coalition, was forced to withdraw from the conflict.
