The Summer Lake Wildlife Area offers an abundance of lakes, hiking trails, scenic viewpoints, and archeological finds.
Legth: 170 miles. Start/Endpoint: Byway runs from La Pine south along SR 31 past Silver Lake, Summer Lake and Paisely until route turns into US 395. From there it continues along US 395 until its endpoint just past Lakeview at the Oregon-California border. Time to Allow: 4 hours. Designation/Year: National Scenic Byway (1998).
