Liozno

an urban-type settlement and the center of Liozno Raion, Vitebsk Oblast, Byelorussian SSR, 40 km southeast of Vitebsk. Railroad station on the Vitebsk-Smolensk line. Population, 5,700 (1972). Liozno has a vegetable canning and drying combine, a flax mill, and a branch of the Vitebsk Dairy Plant.
