National Broadcasting Company

(NBC), one of the largest radio and television broadcasting companies in the USA; founded in 1926. NBC comprises several dozen radio and television stations (subsidiaries), which operate on a commercial basis. In 1945 an NBC subsidiary became an independent radio broadcasting company, the American Broadcasting Company.
