Lipkany

an urban-type settlement in Brichany Raion, Moldavian SSR, situated on the Prut River 4 km from the Lipkany railroad station on the Bel’tsy-Chernovtsy line. Population, 6,-700 (1972). A creamery, an industrial combine, and a bakery combine are located in the settlement. There is also a school for teachers.
