Osinniki
Osinniki
a city (since 1938) under oblast jurisdiction in Kemerovo Oblast, RSFSR. Population, 60,000 (1974; 25,000, 1939). It is situated in the Kuznetsk Coal Basin, at the confluence of the Kandalep and Kondoma rivers (Ob’ River basin). It has a railroad station on the Novkuznetsk-Tashtagol line, 25 km southeast of Novokuznetsk. The principal occupation is coal mining; most of the coal is sent to metallurgical enterprises in Novokuznetsk. Osinniki has mining and power engineering technicums.
