Lymph nodes A histologic pattern characterised by partial architectural effacement, mottling, irregularity of follicles, follicular and paracortical hyperplasia, focal necrosis, capsular and pericapsular infiltration, which is seen in infectious mononucleosis DiffDx CMV, EBV, other viral lymphadenitides, poorly differentiated lymphocytic lymphoma
Kidney A histologic term for focal disintegration of the glomerular capillary basement membrane following spike deposition in membranous glomerulonephritis
Skin An oozing and encrusted reddish skin erosion with a sharp margin and raised borders, characteristic of Paget’s disease of breast; extramammary Paget’s disease is similar but often accompanied by pruritus; moth-eaten skin also appears in Bowen’s disease and in pagetoid spread of melanoma
