Landzert fossa Land·zert fos·sa (lahnd'zĕrt), a fossa formed by two peritoneal folds, enclosing the left colic artery and the inferior mesenteric vein, respectively, at the side of the duodenum; it is smaller than the paraduodenal recess which is sometimes found in the same region.Landzert, T., 19th century German anatomist.
