Meteorological Shelter
Meteorological Shelter
a shelter that is set up at a weather station to house a psychrometer, a hygrometer, and maximum and minimum thermometers. It consists of a white wooden shelter with louvers to permit free access of the air to the instruments. It protects the instruments from rain, snow, the direct action of the sun’s rays, and radiation from the ground. It is mounted on supports so that the reservoirs of the psychrometric thermometers are at a height of 2 m.
