Lisianskii Peninsula
Lisianskii Peninsula
a peninsula on the northern coast of the Sea of Okhotsk, Khabarovsk Krai, RSFSR. It separates the Gulf of Ushki on the east and the Eirineiskaia Inlet on the west. Area, approximately 625 sq km; altitude, up to 1,248 m. It is composed mainly of granite. The banks are high and have cliffs in places. The surface is covered with thickets of cedar shrubs and mountain tundra vegetation. The peninsula was named in honor of the Russian navigator lu. F. Lisianskii.
