Literaturnaia Ucheba

 

(Literary Studies), a magazine of literary criticism that was published in Leningrad from 1930 and in Moscow from 1935 to 1941. It was founded by M. Gorky, who proposed a program of socialist education for creative young people that included teaching them literary skills. The writers who used the magazine as a forum to share their artistic experience included M. Isakovskii, N. Tikhonov, V. Saianov, O. Forsh, F. Gladkov, L. Seifullina, P. Pavlenko, V. Vishnevskij A. Makarenko, and K. Paustovskii.
