Nikolai Brunov
Brunov, Nikolai Ivanovich
Born Nov. 13 (25), 1898, in Moscow. Soviet historian of architecture and doctor of art studies (1943).
In 1920, Brunov graduated from the historical and philological department of Moscow University. He became a professor at the Moscow Architectural Institute in 1934. He is a researcher in the field of ancient Russian and foreign (mainly Byzantine) architecture. He has been awarded the Order of Lenin and various medals.
