Lars Christensen Coast

Lars Christensen Coast

part of Mac-Robertson Land, in eastern Antarctica, between the Mawson Coast in the west and the Amery Ice Shelf in the east. Almost the entire stretch of the coast is also the edge of the mainland ice cover, which descends abruptly into Sodruzhestva Sea. Lars Christensen Coast was discovered in 1930–31 by Norwegian whalers and named in honor of the owner of the whaling fleet.
