Larsen, Reidar Toralf
Born Oct. 8, 1923, in the city of Lillehammer. Figure in the Norwegian labor movement. Member of the Communist Party of Norway (CPN) since 1948. Son of a worker. Journalist by profession.
Larsen joined the Communist Youth League of Norway (CYLN) in 1945. From 1946 to 1948 he was editor of the newspaper Avangarden, the central organ of the CYLN. He was chairman of the CYLN from 1949 to 1953. From 1958 to 1965 he was editor in chief of the newspaper Friheten, the central organ of the CPN. From 1965 to 1975 he was the elected chairman ofthe CPN. [14–498–1; updated]
