nondihydropyridine calcium antagonist

nondihydropyridine calcium antagonist

Any calcium channel blocker that is not based on a pyridine molecule, e.g., verapamil and diltiazem. Compared to dihydropyridines, these agents are more negatively inotropic and are more likely to slow the conduction of the electrical activity of the heart, e.g., by prolonging the P–R interval.
