Little Blue Cell

A mature lymphocyte characterised by a high nuclear:cytoplasmic ratio, a nucleus with distinct lavender parachromatin, chromatin that is both central and clumped along the nuclear membrane and interrupted by nuclear pores; nucleoli may be seen in spread cells/smears. Little blue cells have a thin rim of pale blue cytoplasm, scattered Golgi complexes, azurophilic granules, and lysosomes
