Littleton, Harvey (Kline)

(1922– ) glassmaker; born in Corning, N.Y. Following service in World War II, he received an M.F.A. in ceramics from Cranbrook Academy, where he studied with Maija Grotell (1951), then taught ceramics at the University of Wisconsin (1951–77). In 1962 he, together with Dominick Labino, pioneered the studio glass movement in Toledo, Ohio. He continued to create free-form glass sculptures in his studio in Spruce Pine, N.C. (1977).
