Liuli

a small group of Middle Asian gypsies, living in the Uzbek and Tadzhik SSR’s. They speak Uzbek and Tadzhik with some Romany lexical elements, and those professing a religion are Sunni Muslims. In the past some were settled artisans and others nomads. In Soviet times they have adopted a settled way of life, practicing agriculture (primarily cotton growing) and raising sheep and cattle. In the cities they work mainly in industry and construction.
