Maurycy Rudzki

Rudzki, Maurycy

 

Born Dec. 28, 1862, in the region of Podolia; died July 22, 1916, in Kraków. Polish astronomer and geophysicist. Member of the Kraków Academy of Sciences (1899).

Rudzki graduated from the University of Vienna in 1886. He became a professor at the University of Kraków in 1901 and director of the university observatory in 1902. His main works dealt with theoretical astronomy, seismology, and meteorology.
