National Criminal Intelligence Service (NCIS)

a NON-DEPARTMENTAL PUBLIC BODY, its main tasks are to gather, store and analyse information in order to provide criminal intelligence, to provide criminal intelligence to police forces and to act in support of police forces and other law enforcement agencies carrying out their criminal intelligence activities. Its focus is on the organized crime group. That is, a group which contains at least three people, whose criminal activity is prolonged or indefinite, is motivated by profit or power and which commits serious criminal offences. Its overall functions are controlled by a service authority. It is proposed that it will from part of the new SERIOUS ORGANIZED CRIME AGENCY.
