Max Ebert

Born Sept. 4, 1879, in Stendal; died Nov. 15, 1929, in Berlin. German archaeologist.

In 1922, Ebert became a professor at the University of Kónigs-berg. He was a specialist on the archaeology of the Baltic region and of the southern part of Eastern Europe. Ebert published the multivolume archaeological Dictionary of Prehistory (vols. 1–15, 1924–32).
