Magnetic Flux Bar

Magnetic Flux Bar

a component of a magnetic circuit designed to localize magnetic flux. In view of this, magnetic flux bars are made from materials having high magnetic permeability. Magnetic flux bars are the cores of electromagnets, transformers, and electromagnetic relays; the mechanisms of electrical measuring instruments; and the stators and rotors of electrical machines. The material and structural design are dictated by the purpose and the operating conditions of the device.
