It can be of various colors. The stallions weigh an average of 375 kg; mares weigh 360 kg. Mezen’ horses are easy to keep, hardy, and suited to the climatic conditions of the North. They are noted for their great capacity for work and are used in harness for various agricultural and transportation jobs. Their main disadvantage is their small size; breeding efforts are being directed toward producing a larger Mezen’ horse.
