magnetomechanical factor magnetomechanical factor[mag¦nēd·ō·mi′kan·ə·kəl ′fak·tər] (physics) The gyromagnetic ratio of an atom or substance (magnetic dipole moment divided by angular momentum) divided by the quantity e /2 mc, where e and m are the charge (in esu, or electrostatic units) and mass of the electron respectively, and c is the speed of light.
