ABCC5 is linked to resistance to thiopurine anticancer drugs, 6-mercatopurine and thioguanine, in patients with acute lymphocytic leukaemia, and resistance to antiretroviral nucleoside analogues (e.g., 9-(2-phosphonylmethoxyethyl)adenine) in HIV-infected patients. |
