non-functioning neuroendocrine tumour

A pancreatic neoplasm which is defined by “classic” neuroendocrine histology—e.g., that of an insulinoma, somatostatinoma, VIPoma and an absence of a clinical syndrome secondary to excess hormone production by the tumour—which is usually associated with a low mitotic count and a low Ki-67 labelling index.
