Llanos de Mojos

 

a natural region in the area between the lower reaches of the Beni and Mamore rivers in Bolivia. It is an alluvial lowland, flooded from December through June by the overflow of the rivers. The climate is moist (precipitation of up to 2,200 mm per year) and hot (average monthly temperatures from 23°C to 26°C). The region is covered with variably moist evergreen and savanna woodlands.
