Osmaniye

a city in southern Turkey, in Adana vilayet (province). Population, 46,000 (1970). The city has a railroad station; it is on the Urfa-Konya highway. Osmaniye is the commercial center of an agricultural region producing cotton and peanuts. Local industry includes food processing (flour mills, vegetable-oil mills) and cotton-ginning.
