autotherapy

A nonspecific term variously defined as:
(1) Self-help therapy; 
(2) Medical treatment of oneself.
(3) Spontaneous regression of disease. 
(4) An obsolete therapeutic modality of dubious efficacy, in which a patient was treated with his or her own serum or excrement.
