Oil-Filling Column

 

a mechanical device used in adding oil to the engines of transportation vehicles. It consists of a body with a meter (which measures the quantity of oil added), dispensing equipment, and a pump (which feeds the oil from a tank into the column). The dispensing equipment includes a flexible hose and a gun mechanism with feed and cutoff valves.

The output of an oil-filling column is 10-12 liters per minute. The counting of a single filling and the total oil consumption is accurate to within 1 percent.
